Have you always loved to golf but find it hard to get back on the course because of a disability or limited mobility due to age? Or are you a senior or someone with a disability who has always wanted to learn how to play? From spring to fall, Walton Foundation hosts monthly Adaptive Golf Clinics in Augusta, which include instruction on the practice range and the potential for course play. Both beginners and longtime golfers ages 15 and older are welcome to participate free of charge.
Led by volunteer coaches, the clinics are designed for people who have faced life-changing or acute illnesses or injuries, including:
Limited mobility due to age
Joint injuries or post-surgery limitations
Spinal cord injuries
Brain injuries
Other mobility and sensory impairments
